First LEVEL (Classroom
violations/minor violations)
Step 1: Account
disabled and note put in school database with date and name of subject teacher
requesting the account be disabled
Step 2: Parents informed by classroom
teacher
Step 3: Student must go to the teacher
that disabled them to be re-enabled. Consequence grid is reviewed
Step 4: Student’s account is
re-enabled
Second LEVEL (Major
violations or second minor violation)
Step 1: Account
disabled and note put in school database with date and name of subject teacher
requesting the account be disabled.
Step 2: Student
access to the network suspended up to 2 weeks
Step 3: Parent called
by Administration
Step 4: Based on the
incident Administrator will determine whether or not a school suspension should
be applied
Step 5: Student’s account is re-enabled
after outlined suspension period
Third LEVEL (Serious
violations or third minor)
Step 1: Account
disabled and note put in their account information.
Step 2: Student
access to the network is suspended until reviewed by Administration. Account suspension could be from one month to
indefinite.
Step 3: Parent
contacted by administration and a follows up with a letter to parent/guardian.
Step 4: In the event
of harassment, threats, or hacking, student will be suspended from school and
RCMP will be informed. Could result in
criminal charges.
Step 5: Student’s account can only be
re-enabled with clearance from Administration
