Welcome to the Grad 2010 Web Page
This site has been created to provide information to both students and parents on Graduation. It is extremely important that all grade 12 students are checking this site on a regular basis throughout the year as we will be continually updating. It is pertinent that ALL grade 12 students attend each and every homeroom and assembly as these are avenues for students to receive important graduation information, including: signing up for events, taking grad gown measurements, dry grad, etc.
Please remember that it is the responsibility of the graduating student to keep up-to-date with
grad happenings and meeting any deadlines.

If you require assistance with any graduation related fees, including DRY GRAD,
please see your school counsellor or see an administrator ASAP.
If you delay you jeopardize your chance of participating in events.

ARE YOU APPLYING TO A POST SECONDARY INSTITUTE (PSI)?
You should have completed a request online to have your transcript forwarded electronically to your PSI choices. If you have not completed this as of March 1st, you should do so immediately!! Instructions:
WORK EXPERIENCE 12 COURSE
If you are enrolled in Work Experience 12, please make sure your report is in as soon as you have completed your 100 hours at your employment or volunteer position.

M.A.P. My Action Plan - Grad Transition Interviews
May 12th, Wednesday - If you did not complete your MAP in December you are required to complete it on May 12th. If you are not enrolled in English or Communications 12 this semester, or have not been contacted by a Career Coordinator by March 1st - please visit the Career Centre!!
All grade 12 must complete GraduationTransitions (MAP) in order to graduate.
This is a Ministry of Education requirement.
Dry Grad option information
Next meeting: March 24th, 7pm in the Library - everyone welcome!
Committees are finalizing their work and numbers of volunteers needed for each sub-committee. If you would like to help please contact Debbie Boef at dboef@telus.net. Your name will be forwarded to the respective committee head. Committees are: Food/Decoration, Transportation, Kumsheen, Fundraising, Security and Activities. You can volunteer before, during or after dry grad. There are plenty of options to choose from and we will fit around your schedule. Your help is needed! Thank you
**We need to have students pay their fees in order to have the deposits for the venue and events in place.
If students procrastinate with their payments the event could be cancelled**
Final payment of all funds is due April 30th.
If you choosing option #3, rafting, there are limited spaces.
Next fee collection will be held the week of March 29,31 and April 1st -
at lunch in the MPRoom. Fees will be collected on March 30th (parent/teacher evening).
Students may drop off their $25 deposit to Mrs.McLachlan in the Career Centre, you must be paying by cheque (made out to MBSS) as you will not be issued an immediate receipt (note your name and option # on the cheque)
If you are planning on participating in the rafting, please complete the following form and return it to Mrs. McLachlan in the Career Centre. Make sure you have all 3 signatured on the bottom of the form and have indicated your meal choice.

GRADUATION BANQUET GUEST INFORMATION
June 5, 2010
If you would like to have a guest/date, from outside your graduating class, you are required to complete a 'MBSS Graduation Dinner/Dance Guest Application'.
You must buy their ticket now. If your guest is not approved you will receive a full refund.
Guests must be in grade 11 or older.
For more information please speak with an administrator or Mrs.McLachlan.
GRADUATION FEES - FEES ARE NOW OVERDUE
If you have not paid your fees you have put your opportunity to participate in grad events in jeopardy. Please see Mrs.McLachlan or a counsellor immediately.
If you have a difficulty with making this payment, please contact Mr.Simonson in the office.
