SSA (Secondary School Apprenticeship)
Students can earn high school credit while also earning money out working in a trade.  Students must be in a formal apprenticeship agreement with their employer.  A great site to look through is the ITA (Industry Training Authority) website at http://www.itabc.ca.  For more information see our District website, or contact a Career Centre Coordinator.

Dual Credit Program Okanagan College
Students can earn high school credit while attending Okanagan College in most of their trades programs.  Most of these programs fit into the student's timetables best for attending in second semester of their grade 12 year.  If students attend during grade 11 or 12 the school district will pay some of their tuition.  Students must apply by October 30th of their grade 12 year.

Dual Credit Program BCIT College at Rutland Secondary
Students can earn high school credit while attending specialty programs at the BCIT Rutland Campus.  Most of these programs fit into the student's timetables best for attending in second semester of their grade 12 year.  
For those students planning on attending the Forest Resource program at RSS it would be best to apply for this during your second semester of your grade 11 year, as it starts February 2012 and finished January 2013.  If students attend during grade 11 or 12 the school district will pay some of their tuition.  Students must apply by October 30th of their grade 12 year.
