Career Events & Opportunities
Work Experience 12 Course
Students in grades 11 and 12 that are currently employed may choose to use their work hours to receive secondary school course credits. Registration required prior to October 15th. Students that registered in June to use their Summer employment for this course are now required to contact Career Life Programs to complete the process. Please do so in September of the current year.

Volunteer Opportunities/Experiences
Volunteering is a great way to earn your '30 hour graduation requirement'. Volunteer experience is also a very good idea if you plan on applying for scholarships or bursaries. Most important, volunteering is a great way to give back and feel good! Opportunities are coming in weekly. Please check the Daily Announcements or visit the Career Centre. Check out:

Job Shadows
A job shadow gives students the opportunity to explore an occupation byvisiting a local business.  We will try to arrange a job shadow for any career or interest you may choose - visit us.
If you are an employer that would like to participate in this program please contact:
SKILLS Canada Competitions
You will have the opportunity to utilize your skill in a trade or technology, to compete against other secondary schools in regional, provincial and national competitions. This is a great chance to showcase yourself to industry professionals, network and add to your resume and skill base.
Registration now complete. This is a yearly competition, please check back next January if you are interested.

Project Placements:
A Project Placement is a Volunteer Opportunity which runs anywhere from a weekend to 10 months in duration, Project Placements allows the student to develop/plan, prepare and participate in a project.
Opportunities are available throughout the school year.
